Refund & Cancellation Policy

When you get your money back, in plain English.

Last updated: 27 September 2026

We charge for exactly two things: the ₹99 home assessment (homeowners) and partner subscriptions (installers). Here is precisely how each works, how to cancel, and when money comes back. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.

The ₹99 assessment

The ₹99, paid when you book, is all-inclusive (GST and payment processing built in) and pays for a real service: the assessor’s time and travel, and the report you keep — it works with any installer, or none. Because the fee funds the visit itself, it is not refundable. It is a fee, not a deposit.

  • Plans changed? One free reschedule. Ask from your dashboard (or reply to any of our emails) before the visit, and we will move it to another slot — once, free of charge.
  • If we can’t deliver the visit, you pay nothing. If your pincode turns out to be outside our service area, or we can’t visit you within one month of the day you booked, we refund the full ₹99. The month runs from your booking date. If you ask us to move the visit to a date after that month, or you aren’t available at a visit we confirmed with you, the delay is yours rather than ours: no refund applies, and we still carry out the visit. Refunds are processed by our team, not automatically — we start yours within 2 business days of the month running out, and you are always welcome to write to us sooner. You only ever pay for a visit that actually happens.
  • After the visit, the service has been delivered and the report is yours for good — no cash refund applies.

Installer subscription (₹999 per month, exclusive of GST)

  • Cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month — you keep access until then. No cancellation fee. Cancelling stops new customer connections; it does not end your installer agreement or cancel fees on work already in hand. A completion fee stays payable on any quote a customer accepted before you cancelled — and on any quote you submitted before cancelling that a customer accepts within its thirty-day validity afterwards — however long the installation takes.
  • No pro-rata refunds for a started month. Monthly fees are billed in advance and aren’t refunded part-way, except as below.
  • If we remove you from the platform for reasons other than a breach of our terms, we refund the unused portion of the current month pro-rata.

Installer completion fee

  • It is only charged on a job that goes ahead. The completion fee — a flat amount for each kW — is earned when the customer accepts your quote, and invoiced at the earlier of commissioning or thirty days after that acceptance. Nothing is payable on a quote, on being shortlisted, or on a project cancelled before installation begins, so there is nothing to refund in those cases. If a project is cancelled after we have invoiced it, we issue a credit note against that invoice rather than asking you to chase a refund.
  • If the job is later reversed — the installation is undone, or the customer’s payment to you is refunded in full — write to us and we credit the completion fee in full, with a credit note against the original tax invoice.
  • If the invoiced kW is wrong, send us the commissioning certificate. We reissue against the correct figure and credit the difference; the rate itself is fixed by your installer agreement and does not vary by job.

Duplicate, failed, or wrong charges

If money leaves your account but the booking or subscription doesn’t activate, the payment was never completed and your bank or Razorpay reverses it — typically within 5–7 business days. If you are charged twice for the same thing, write to us and we refund the extra charge in full. Either way, if you don’t see the money back, email us with the payment reference and we’ll chase it with Razorpay.

How refunds are paid, and how long they take

  • All refunds go back to the original payment method (card, UPI, netbanking) via Razorpay.
  • We initiate approved refunds within 2 business days of your request.
  • Banks and card networks then take 5–7 business days to credit your account (UPI is usually faster).

How to request a refund or cancel
